Getting a Dog Bath at Scrub-A-Dub

Cody and Sierra were getting a little bit stinky and smelly, so we decided it would be a good idea to take them to get a dog bath. Instead of doing it at home we sometimes like to go to a place called Scrub-A-Dub Dog Baths in Mt. Washington.

It's a lot easier using a DIY dog bath then attempting to give your dogs a bath at home.  A dog washing facility like Scrub-A-Dub provides towels, a blow dryer, aprons, and a you get to use a dog bath tub.  This saves time and makes the whole process convenient, less messy, and faster.

I took some pictures of Cody when we were giving him a bath and as you can see he seemed to not mind too much.  Sierra is a bit difficult when getting a dog bath and requires two people.  I couldn't get pictures of her but she might prefer that.  We try not to get their heads wet since they don't seem to like it.

You do have to bring your own Dog Shampoo to Scrub-A-Dub, so you might want to keep that in mind if you go over there.  It's $15 for each fresh smelling dog (after they have dried off of course) which we feel is well worth it.  Do you really want stinky dogs on your couch or bed?

Singing Dogs have the Blues!

We haven't made any videos in awhile, but this is a short and sweet video brought to you by Singing Dogs which should put a smile on peoples faces for Labor Day Weekend.

I love the playing the blues on my saxophone but not as much as Cody and Sierra like singing to the blues it seems!  For some reason anytime I play these notes and this blues scale they both sing.  I guess we will work on a song that we can all enjoy.

We hope everyone has a nice Labor Day! 🙂

Cody and Sierra Kissing Anderson Cooper

Here is a picture of Cody and Sierra kissing Anderson Cooper.  It might be blurry but hopefully you can tell that it is him.  The dogs really liked Anderson and he is very good with dogs!

Singing Puppy and Dogs Improvise the Blues

Sierra and Scout

It's a blistering hot day here in Baltimore but Sierra, Scout, and Cody have a good way to keep cool, by singing the Blues! That's right it seems all three of these English Shepherds are fans of the blues.  Maybe they have the blues because of the heat and are not playing outside today.  I don't know!  I can only tell you I love playing the blues with them! 🙂

Cody did sing but unfortunately he wasn't in the field of view for the video.  You can still hear his nice deep bass voice though.

Sierra Teaches a Puppy How To “Sing”

Currently Cody, Sierra, and our musical family are fostering a great English Shepherd Puppy named Scout.  This guy is smart, sweet, sensitive and… is also a singer!  That means we now have a Dog Singing Trio! 🙂

Sierra, the dog diva, gave Scout a singing lesson.  If you watch the video below you can clearly see he is watching Sierra and trying to mimic her singing.  Of course Sierra thinks nobody can match her singing.  After all she is a “Dog Diva!”

Cody actually first gave Scout a singing lesson, but we didn't get that on video.  Scout seemed to react well to Cody's deeper singing voice.  Cody is also singing in this video too but we couldn't get him in the frame with the other singing dogs.  You will have to listen carefully.
